In some cases in early game you could consider scooping up some contaminated oil or similar from enemies for selling purposes only, but for actual self use you will almost always need clean liquids and those are the only ones that game auto-stacks with the "collect" option.Īs to how you ended up with 20 drams split across multiple water skins in the first place: I am assuming you scooped up multiple small pools of that mixed liquids, which as said don't auto stack. If you would have some pure water in the ground and some half full container with water, the collect option works normal.Īs said above: you usually don't want to collect mixed liquids, as for most of them you would have to somehow purify them to be able to actually use them. Why does it say 'no space' when I have plenty of room in those skins?Mixed liquids usually don't auto stack into containers if you are using the "collect" option, which is why you get the message that you have no space to collect it. Went into my inventory and had about 20 drams of bloody salt split between what had been four empty 32-dram skins. Saw that bloody salt can be used as a seasoning, so I collected some, then was told I was out of space. You very rarely want to collect mixed liquids. "Bloody" in this context means that a majority of the liquid mixture is made up of salt with some blood added in the mix. Don't hesitate to merge the contents of two starting, half-full waterskins into a single one if you're short on waterskins.Ībout bloody salt, it's the salt you want to use in your cooking. If you have any, select the pool of liquid you want to collect and choose to pour it into a container, then select an empty waterskin. My guess is that when offering you a choice of containers, the game showed you waterskins that were half-full with fresh water, which you definitely don't want to mix with something as mundane as bloody salt, because you'll end up with a useless mix of brackish water and blood which you can neither drink nor trade with, nor even cook with.Ĭheck your inventory for empty waterskins. It is not uncommon for many castes/callings to start with half-full waterskins. ![]() Not to sound like a douche, but you're probably doing something wrong.Ī waterskin can contain 64 drams of any liquid (some liquids, like lava or acid, will however melt the waterskin). TL DR : get in the habit of using the "pour" option when dealing with liquids and you will become Qud-erudite in no time. Am I doing something wrong? Are these bugs? Will the same thing happen to water? After three attempts to pour/fill, I have one dram left. Then, when I try to pour/fill those skins' contents into a single skin, each pour/fill destroys most of the contents of each skin involved. Why does it say 'no space' when I have plenty of room in those skins? And am I doing something wrong that the bloody salt's not going into one skin to begin with? These tools often cater to a specific profession, like Mason’s Tools for masons or Brewer’s Tools for brewers. Tool proficiencies are proficiencies with a specific set of tools. For example: some settings feature airships, and a corresponding vehicle proficiency, but in settings without airships characters aren’t able to select airship proficiency. ![]() Unlike skills, the number of options of these types is undefined, and varies between game settings. Several sources will grant proficiencies in tools, gaming sets, and vehicles. Standard depth of cabinets is usually 24 inches, while some people opt for shallower depth of 18-20 inches if they are short on space and are mainly storing lightweight items. The depth of laundry room cabinets can vary depending on the space available in the laundry room and personal preference. Once you’ve finalized the measurements, you’re ready to start shopping for cabinets that fit perfectly in your laundry room. To confirm you’ve got all your measurements correct, use a level and a stepladder to check that the walls are truly perpendicular to each other and the walls are straight. This can help you visualize the cabinet size and layout that would fit your laundry room perfectly. From there, you can measure the floorspace in your laundry room, taking note of any angles that you’d need to account for if the cabinets are angled or there are other unique shapes.ĭraw a layout on your notepad that reflects these dimensions, including the dimensions of your appliances and other features in the room. You’ll also want to measure the space between the walls and the appliances or any other obstructions that might influence the size of cabinet you need. Start by measuring the walls in your laundry room from one corner to the other at the top, middle and bottom. You’ll need measuring tape, a notepad, pencil, level and a stepladder. Measuring cabinets for a laundry room is a relatively straightforward process, though it will require a few tools. How do you measure cabinets for laundry room? Finally, when you install the cabinets, make sure they are securely attached to the wall at the top and bottom so that they don’t sway or become loose over time. You’ll also want to make sure the cabinet installation doesn’t interfere with the normal functions or motions of your washer and dryer.įor example, if your washer or dryer has a lid that needs to be opened to access the drum, make sure that the base of the cabinets aren’t too close to the lid or they may interfere when it is lifted or opened.Īdditionally, make sure that you have at least a one-inch gap between the top of your washer and dryer and the bottom of the cabinets to allow air to circulate freely. If you have tall models or are installing extra-tall cabinets, the distance should be even greater. Generally, you want the bottom of the cabinets to be at least 18 inches above the top of your washer and dryer. ![]() ![]() The ideal height for wall cabinets placed over a washer and dryer will depend on the size and model of your particular washer and dryer, as well as the size of the cabinets you plan to install. |
